ADMISSION CRITERIA:

Age 2+ for Play Group &  Pre Classes

For Class I : Child completing 5 years on 31st March of the year of admission.

For Classes I To IX : There will be no formal test or interview, however the school reserves right to apply some screening method if number of applicants are more than the number of seat available.

Guidelines by RBSE are strictly followed

25% of the total seats are reserved under RTE Act for children at entry level i.e. in Nursery & Class I from SC/ST/OBC and economically weaker section.

FIRST AID CENTRE
In order to satisfy our legal responsibility for the health and safety of our staff and our duty of care to our students, Kothari Public school provides equipped with appropriate fire safety, first aid and health and safety supplies to cover all risks from minor incidents to major emergencies.

Dance Room
To explore potential of students, training of different dance forms classical, western, hip-hop etc. are given in school. Students are trained to compete in Inter School, State and National Level Contests. Various activities are organized in school for which students are guided by activity teachers.
Music Room
Music Room is well equipped with all musical instruments like Harmonium, synthesizer, Tabla, Guitar etc. Students are trained according to their areas of interest. Vocal Music training is also given by mentors in Classical, Sufi, soft music etc. International Kathak and Classical dance artists are invited in school from time to time.

Seminar Hall
KPS provides air-conditioned seminar hall with a seating capacity of more than 200 people. Seminar Hall is well equipped with audio visual system for small meetings seminars etc.

ASSESSMENT:

A system of continuous followed in all forms as Guidelines formed by CBSE for Class I to VIII.

To ensure ongoing progress without anxiety and fear of failure, round the year holistic assessment of the individual is done using a variety of tools including formal examination from Class I. The continuous assessment covers both scholastic and co-scholastic aspect of pupil growth including health status, personal and social quality interest’s attitudes and values proficiency in co-curricular activities and academic competence.

EVALUATION SYSTEM:

The academic year is divided into two semester & examination are held at the end of each semester.
1st Semester Examination – September
2nd Semester Examination – March
Pre-Board for Class XII – December – January

REPORT ON PROGRESS:

Parents will receive computer generated Progress Report for each term of the academic year.

FEEDBACK ON PROGRESS:

Parents are requested to sign each evaluation sheets and handover it back. This will ensure that they are always aware of their ward’s progress.

ATTENDANCE:

A student is required to keep 75% attendance in each term. The students failing to fulfill the required attendance shall not be permitted to appear in Annual Exams.

HOME WORK POLICY:

Each pupil should have a Kothari Public School Diary, which is life line of school where he / she is to record the home work each day. Revision, consolidation and completion of home work should take place every night.

COUNSELLING DEPARTMENTS:

The counseling department assists pupils in selection of subjects, courses and careers, as well as dealing with problem of personal adjustment.

SCHOOL CONVEYANCE:

Conveyance facility is available on all routes. Students are not permitted to withdraw from the van facility in the mid-session unless there is a shifting of residence and in case of withdrawal of facility, conveyance fee is not refundable.

CLUBS BONDING AS A TEAM:

The School provides fairly wide range of activities through different clubs. Various clubs help in the enhancement of creativity & personality of our students. CONDUCT RULES:

Students are always expected to set standards of good conduct and politeness in the school, van and at public place. They should greet their teachers and elders where ever they meet them. Being respectful and use of appropriate language is expected from all members of the students.

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. Students must reach school five minutes before the first bell ring.
2. Students must keep their bicycles properly locked at the cycle stand.
3. Objectionable reading material is not allowed in the school.
4. Bringing mobiles phones, i pods or any other electronic item to school is strictly prohibited. Those will be confiscated if a student’s is found carrying them.
5. Students must take care of the school property. Damaging school furniture & property shall initiate disciplinary action.
6. Students found visiting the kiosks outside the school will be subject to disciplinary action.

WITHDRAWALS:

One full calendar month’s notice in writing or one months’ fee in lieu thereof is required for the withdrawals of a child from the school. Transfer Certificate (TC) will be issued after 3 days of submission of withdrawal form along with TC Fee at reception, provided the students has paid all schools dues prior to it.
